Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) :Colour Pencil set – review –

I was pretty excited when I saw this set on sale at sephora.com , since it came out last year. I wanted to try them, mainly because I love any company who is being 100% vegan & a cruelty-free brand .That being said, the only products that I own from this brand is their Lip Tar & honestly It’s not my favourite lip products not that it’s a bad product; but it can be a little overwhelming how pigmented these are … I need to really make an effort to try different ways to use it !!! BUT for the colour pencil it’s been LOVE at first sight …

Info from the website:

Available in 12 long-wearing shades, ranging from essential neutrals to striking vivids.
100% vegan and cruelty-free (contains no animal-derived or animal-tested ingredients)

So here are my toughts on these pencils:

The Super Good:

♥ I paid 20$Can for six Full-Size colour pencils (3.33$ per pencil, crazy right !!!)

♥ Amazing pigmentation.

♥ Pool Boy, Feathered & Tarred are amazing on my waterline.

♥ Formulated to be multi-purpose, these pencils can be used on the lips, most on the eyes or anywhere on the body and they don’t contain any carmine, binders, or fillers, just mineral pigment!

♥ Cruelty-Free & 100% Vegan ( It makes me so happy & the rabbits too, I’m guessing!)

§

The Not so Good:

♥ These aren’t waterproof. (So they tend to smudge more easily!)

♥ Full prize, they each retail for 16$US, a bit pricey for any eyes or lips pencils from any brands for that matter in my opinion.

Bottom Line :

♥♥♥ These are super fun with the vibrant range of colours; I even made the cutest amber lips effect pairing Hoochie and Feathered together with a clear gloss on top! I really see myself using them a lot for spring 2015. As an eyeshadow base, these are also spectacular with their creamiest textures. If you come upon this set at a discount price, grab it and run ( run Forest run, sorry I couldn’t help myself!).

  1. I saw this and passed it up because I didn’t think I could use most of the colors–I didn’t know at the time you could use them on your eyes too! Maybe I should grab a set after all.
