I like these collab with my friend Sharon so much; Why? Because it lets me tell you about the best products I can find for 10$ or less (very frugal I know). So today I’ll be boasting the merit of the Korres Quercetin & Oak Anti Ageing Eye Primer that I paid 6,99$CND (the regular retail price is 21$).
On their website the company claims:
A 3-in-1 Eye Primer, Corrector, and Antiager. Provides a 360° smooth canvas around the delicate eye area, ensuring crease-proof, long-lasting eye shadow and concealer wear. Enriched with Quercetin & Oak extracts, it smoothes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to provide smooth, softer skin, while visibly improving skin texture.
I bought this one 2 weeks ago and I’ve been testing it on a daily basis. Since I’ve been using my Nars Pro Prime smudge proof eyeshadow base, I thought it would be fun to try priming one eye with the Nars and the other one with the Korres, so for the last 14 days that’s what I did … Well well well, Surprisingly, I saw no difference between my two eyes after my long day at work. I was a little bit floored by that fact. How could this be? Nobody talk about Korres and Nars is a cult favorite and yet, they acted the same! EXACTLY THE SAME!!! Trust me I looked at it each day with my 5X enlarging mirror and found no noticeable difference. The formula on both products are very different and yet, I had more than 10 hours of staying power and both were also crease free!!!
♥ 6.99$ on a good eye primer. (Yay!)
♥ Fragrance-Free & NO Paraben.
♥ It works as an under eye brightener as well as an eyeshadow primer.
♥ The texture is creamy & dries almost like a powder (As a reference, it reminded me a lot of the UD Primer Potion)
♥ The nude/peachy shade almost counteract the red veins on my eyelids.
♥ Doesn’t crease (on me) & makes my eyeshadows last ALL DAY!
♥ Like both Nars & UD Primer potion, you must put ONLY a little bit of product; if you apply too much it will dry up your eyelid like crazy. This primer will last you for a long long time.
The “Not” so Good
♥ The container makes it difficult to get at the product on the sides & the bottom (read my frugal makeup tip to get the last bit of product)
♥ The regular price (21$) is pricey
I am so happy with this product and even more with the price I paid! So girlfriends aim for deluxe samples or discounted products for primers and you really should consider this one.
Eye primers are ESSENTIAL in any daily beauty routine!!!
Don’t forget to go to Sharon (Sharon Beauty Prime) for her post on the Glow blush by Hard Candy. I want to try Hard Candy products so much but my local WalMart doesn’t carry it 😦
Disclaimer: As always, this is my 100% honest opinion based on my personnel use and I gladly paid for this product myself 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my beauties
