“Stila CC color correcting stick” – Review –

stilacc3 Hello my beauties!

For a couple of weeks now my fellow Canadian friend Sharon (Sharon Beauty Prime) and yours truly have had the best time finding products under 10$ and writing about them in what we call “Tell’em Wednesday”. Sharon is mainly focusing on current beauty products as I tend to look for the best deals I can find for under 10$. So without further ado, I offer you the Stila CC color correcting stick (in 01 Fair) that I grabbed for 10$ (regular price is 49$, and on sale now on Stila website). A nearby drugstore who will no longer carry Stila products chose to liquidate their inventory = big sale (as I like them)! It’s my first CC anything; I just ventured into BB so CC it is (Not that I think that they are different in any way, in my opinion it’s just a gimmick) …

First of all this product has mix reviews (I think that they now offer the same product in a cream which has great reviews – go figure) mainly because if you are paying 49$ for foundation it needs to be I personally would never pay the full price nor  pay as much for a foundation for that matter…

On the Stila website they stated as the Features & Benefits:

•Creates a flawless, natural-looking satin finish on skin •Green core color corrects & helps reduce redness •Antioxidant-rich Gamma Oryzanol contains photo-aging protection properties •Dermaxyl peptide technology helps reduce the appearance of fine lines •Licorice extract helps brighten skin and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation •Stabilized Vitamin C & green tea extract help brighten the skin & provide antioxidant benefits •Vitamin E helps smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, decrease dryness and increase moisture retention •Paraben free •packaged in a convenient twist up stick for easy on-the-go touchups available in 8 shades

The Good:

♥ Highly blendable and sinks fast into the skin.

♥ It makes the best spot concealer for around my nose where I have the most redness and some broken capillaries.

♥ Very natural-looking finish, perfect especially if you want to achieve a flawless but very light coverage for your skin. (Very summer appropriate)

♥ The packaging makes the product easy to use and to carry (Very travel friendly)

The NOT so Good:

♥ Since the coverage is sheer, I don’t think it would conceal acne or major discolorations.

♥ It contains alcohol. (If not, it would be the best under eye concealer on earth)

♥ It will cling to dry patches if you have lots of them. (Exfoliation is key)

Bottom Line:

I’m pleasantly surprised with this purchase because it does give me a natural finish by conteracting all the discolouration I may have going, without looking all made up. Great for a “no makeup makeup day”. At 10 bucks I highly recommend this one.

Note: It’s surely one of the most smoothest foundation I ever applied

*** Now go to Sharon for her Live Clean skincare products under 10$ ***

Thanks for stopping by

Ingrid xoxo

  1. What a great score! I have 1 CC thing which is from Annabelle, and it’s ok. Mostly use as a primer or on light makeup days.
I do like stick foundations or even just concealer sticks when I travel. Last year I went to Iceland / Denmark and all I took was a concealer stick and face powder – and it was fine!
