You probably all heard about this baking technique but guys, I’m not talking Betty Crocker here. The question is : Did you try it ?!? Personally I don’t ever see myself not using this fabulous method which funny enough is called baking your concealer…(Don’t let me start on Strobing or Clown Contouring !!!)
If you don’t have a clue about what “Baking” is (you are perfectly normal by the way), here are the basic rules of BAKING 101 beauty method:
- Step 1: Apply your concealer (Cream or liquid base),
- Step 2: Apply your favorite under eye setting powder (you all know, mine is the e.l.f. Studio High Definition Undereye Setting Powder) either using your fingers or a sponge like the Beauty blender,
Note: Some people use a huge amount of powder but as I don’t like to waste products, I apply just enough to lightly cover the area.
- Wait for a couple of minutes (meanwhile, do your eyebrows or your eye makeup!!!)
- Step 3: Dust the powder using a brush (my favorite -no surprise there- is my e.l.f Flawless Concealer Brush). It’s like the powder sinks into the concealer (that’s why they call it Baking, silly me) and they become just one (How Cute!?!)
The result is a SEAMLESS finish (no kidding)!!! PLUS, no creasing will occur and your concealer won’t budge all day long!!!
Disclaimer : Let’s be real, it won’t work if you use a crappy concealer… Some people say it’s a heavy technique, reserved for special occasion but No! No! No!, it’s a daily thing unless you use a pound of powder (which turns into OVERBAKING OR BURNING) 🙂 I don’t bake my face since it emphasizes the texture.
If you haven’t try this trick yet, please do and let me know what you think, my gorgeous friends!!!
Have the best Weekend!!!
