Sephora Favorites Brow Raising – Review –

Sephora Holiday 2015

I am beyond excited with the releases of all those awaited Holiday Sets, however I’m way less happy about the upcoming canadian winter but that’s another ball game … Let’s focus on the good stuff that makes me smile and, anyway before winter comes my favorite season: Autumn. Yep! End of august and we jump to Christmas goodies. You may get tired of reading/hearing me blabbing about all those new sets, but my beauties, if there is ever a time in a year to stock up and ruin yourself, it’s during the value sets fall releases and it’s now. Here is a good example…

Sephora Favorites Brow Raising 2015

To my knowledge, it’s the first Sephora Favourites set dedicated to brows. Not to jumped to any conclusion but boy it’s a good one. On top of it, Sephora made an extra effort to give their consumers the choice of Light/Medium or Medium/Dark for different skin tones. Since I think that brows are the #1 thing that helps shape any face, a kit like this one is a must anytime, so imagine at a value price!!

Sephora Favorites Brow Raising 2015

In the order I apply/use them:

Sephora Collection Compact mirror

♥ Pretty random but a nice mirror to bring with you for touch ups. Always good to have!

Sephora Collection Tweezer

♥ Tweezers are either good or bad, there is no halfway. I’m happy to report that this one is perfect to clean/pluck all unwanted hairs.

Smashbox Brow Tech Gloss Stick

♥ This stick is the surprise product of this set; I love it so much. It glides easily so you don’t have to put a lot. It really does give a natural glossy touch to my eyebrows. Absolutely the star of the set and a product I will surely repurchase over and over!

Kat Von D Tattoo Brow

♥ I love this product so far. I use it for the first part of my brow (meaning the area closer to the nose), where it’s always more flattering to put a lighter shade for a gradient effect. For me, it’s also the part where I have sparse eyebrows. I can literally draw individual hairs and I’m telling you, when applied, it doesn’t budge. So cool !!! For a perfect result though, you have to let it dry before continuing your brow makeup regiment (Do Not Over Pluck, like I did in my teenage years!!!) .

Note: I will do an update on this product since I read so many reviews that have stated that the product dried up very quickly … If it happens to me than it would be a dud and I will be very disappointed. So far so good!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

♥ Unless you are living in a convent (even there, we might be surprised to see nuns with gorgeous brows), you have heard the merit of the Brow Wiz. It’s a cult favorite for good reasons: it lasts all day, is easy to apply, defines eyebrows perfectly and in no time, and is beginner-friendly. It’s my “rush” fool proof product .

Note: The only downside of this product is that it runs out fast and will last you no more than 3 months. Like I said, it’s my “I have no time” product of choice but if I can, I will preferably use my ABH Pomade.

Benefit High Brow

♥ I can’t live without this product. I use it on my waterline or to highlight my underbrow area and it stays all day! I also love the fact that it glides so easily. It really is a versatile product. The shade is the palest pink that makes my brows look so natural while brightening the eye completely.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel

♥ It’s been my go-to gel for setting my eyebrows, I never go a day without it. Its principal quality is that it doesn’t make my eyebrows feel crusty. It leaves me with an ever so slightly glossy finish, for perfect natural looking brows.

Besides the supposed drying up problem of Kat Von D’s Tattoo Brow which may affect the product longevity (I will keep you posted), I’m super pleased with this purchase. Totally worth the price since I will use up every single product. Brows are the main part of my makeup routine and having a Sephora Favorites set containing all quality brands makes me really really happy. I might get a back up …(In fact I just did). In an ideal world of eyebrows maintenance, it would have been nice to maybe add a pomade like my ABH one. Can’t stop a girl from dreaming on how to perfect this beautiful set after such a magnificent discovery and this holiday surprise in autumn.

  1. Nice kit! I like that they offer this in 2 different colour sets. Smart, Sephora!
I’ve been curious about that Kat Von D Tattoo Brow – I really like brow markers and they’re hard to find. These kits are such a great way to discover a whole bunch of brands without breaking the bank! I’m in so much trouble with all the holiday kits coming up….!
