Sephora VIB sale 2015 !!! (My List)

Time just flies by!!! Not that long ago, we were raving about cool summer nail polishes, fake tan & aqua eyeliners … Now, Halloween being a thing of the past, we are bombarded with Christmas ads, promos and all kind of Holiday stuffs (not that I mind, I LOVE CHRISTMAS).

Here in Canada, Thursday November 5 is the annual 20% off VIB Rouge  in-store event and for the first time in ages, my wish list is not that long. My “No-Buy” on lip products is still going strong & like many of you pointed out, I have enough eyeshadow palettes (let me rephrase that: after the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons & UD X Gwen Stefani palettes, I will have enough and will establish a No-Buy on that category too!!!). So, with both No-Buys on lippies and on shadows … the event doesn’t look so interesting now. Being the junkie that I am (makeup wise of course), I still found some little things that caught my eye and will surely appear in my Sephora shopping bag.  Here is my list …

EradiKate from Kate Sommerville (29$CND)

I use this on my pimples at night and magically, they are usually gone in the morning or significantly reduced. This will be a repurchase.

Best Seller Set from Origins (50$CND)

I was about to purchase the GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream, but when I saw this kit with my usual daily cream in it (which alone cost 38$CND), it became a no brainer since I love all the other stuff in there, and was added rapidly to my list. This eye cream is my Holy Grail and is use every morning under my makeup. I’ve tried so many different ones, this cream is unbeatable and responds perfectly with my concealer and eye makeup.

ABH DIPBROW Pomade in Taupe (23$CND)

Lancôme Waterproof Eyebrow Gel-Cream in 01 Blond (29$CND)

Ecobrow Defining Wax in Marilyn – Blonde (31$CND)

I own and LOVE my Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade but soon, I will need to replenish my inventory. I was considering trying a new product. There are a lot of good reviews on both the Lancôme & the Ecobrow. I need your help here, has anyone tried one of them ?

Defining Brush from Ecobrow (27$CND)

Since I’m super lazy when it comes to washing my brushes, I need to get another one!!!😬

Hall of Fame Kit from Peter Thomas Roth (44$CND)

I religiously buy Peter Thomas Roth’s value kit when it comes out every year and I’ve never been disappointed. I highly recommend!!!

The Contour Book. The Art of Sculpting + Defining Volume II from Kevyn Aucoin (78$CND)

My conscience and my wallet were debating this little “book” for a while but the all around amazing reviews (from Beauty Anti-Guru & CCosmetic Chaos just to name a few) made it impossible to resist. It will be my first Kevyn Aucoin product!!!

Complexion rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream from bareMinerals (36$CND)

I bought this gel cream recently, again after many of you suggested it and girls, you were right, this formula is perfect for me. An SPF of 30 disguise in a BB Cream: what a perfect couple. I wash my face in the morning and without applying a moisturizer, I just apply this gel-cream with my fingers and voilà … So this one will serve as a back-up (A more in dept review coming soon)

Duo Mat Powder Foundation from Make Up For Ever (40$CND)

I need a powder foundation to apply over my Dr. Jart + Premium BB Cream or my Mac Face & Body foundations when occasionally, I want/need some added coverage. I never tried this one before! Is it a good choice ???

Under Eye Brightening Corrector from Becca (35$CND)

I’ve been a little weird lately (in a good way). I’ve spent a lot of time selecting the best products for my skin type to help me achieve the best canvas possible. I’ve watched 3 tutorials about girls using this corrector and it looks so good that I want to give it a try. I don’t return a lot of stuff at Sephora but if it just doesn’t work, I know that they have the best return policy.

I feel like it’s not a fun list without those yearly Christmas holiday sets or any single bling bling item. Not one WOW products. Oh well, I must be growing up and becoming more conscious about the way I spend my money 😉

Please share your list with me, in case I’m missing an item

  1. You lie! You do NOT get pimples. I will pretend that I never saw that. 😛
That Origins kit looks like fantastic value!
Oh gawd, this is like the 4th time I’ve seen the Kevyn Aucoin set mentioned. I need that in my life! I’ve been dying to try his product for ages and you get pretty much everything you need in this kit! I NEED.
Never heard of that BareMinerals gel-cream – sounds like a great product for quickly slapping on your face. Yes please on the review! 😀
I tested the MUFE duo mat foundation and I found it kind of too heavy / cakey, although, it could possibly be the way the makeup artist applied it on me and my friend. Neither of us liked the effect on our skin.
Never heard of that Becca undereye product – sounds like it could be a winner! What under eye concealer do you currently use?
All I gotta say is I’M SO JEALOUS! 😉

  2. I really want to try the Origins skin care products. Hats off to you on your No-Buy challenge. I couldn’t do it. cause I know I’d fail miserably lol. If I don’t buy eyeshadows I’ll probably go insane in a bad way hahaha! Any good Advent Calendar that you find right up your alley from Sephora to suggest?
