Mac Must-Haves ❥ Paint Pots

MAC Paint Pots

If there is one product from Mac everybody should own, it’s their Pro Longwear Paint Pots. I’m not kidding when I say that I want them all (I mean, I need them ALL)!! Makeup aficionados are raving Painterly and Soft Ochre (I own them both and they are great) but there is 23 shades to choose from, so the choice is yours! They are more than the best eye primer on the market, they are also GREAT cream eyeshadows.

Why is it a must-have?

♥  Daahhh! The formula is PERFECTION.

♥ Stop your quest to find the best eyeshadow primer : You’ve found THE ONE! It’s so pigmented, it really helps neutralize the color of your eyelids before applying your eyeshadow.

♥ Mature skin & hooded eyes friendly since it doesn’t crease and doesn’t transfer.

♥ Well worth the price since, I’ve never had one dry on me even after a year of daily usage. You do obviously have to close the lid tight …

♥ Known for their properties as an eyeshadow base, it’s also a stunning shadow that can be used alone. (Tip: Preferably put some matching powder shadows on top and your good to go for your whole workday).

♥ It’s the best kept secret to bring out the colour of your eyeshadows. They produce the best canvas!

♥ For a perfect application, go with the Real Technique deluxe crease brush or your fingers.

♥ Sets in seconds and stays put until you remove it! Lasts hours and hours (even days if you sleep with your makeup on 😴) … you can literally swipe your finger across your lids and NOTHING comes off or budges.

My 3 next purchases …

There is the Paint Pots and the Paints…

I first heard about the Paint Tubes in a post my friend Stashy made back in August 2015 (link); I’ve yet to try one of their 5 colors available. Bare Canvas & Bamboom are calling my name … and unfortunately they wake me up at night. So, as I need the sleep, come to mama you bad boys!!!

After learning about those products and playing with them for awhile now, I will never go back to my pre-MAC primer makeup days! These will be, for now and forever, the basics of my make-up regime. Seriously, you have to try these Holy Grails. Go wild and try some colored Paint Pots, you will thank me …

Note: The Maybelline’s 24hr color tattoo shadows are good but in no way comparable to MAC’s wonderful paint pots. They are no DUPE at all. The only product that comes really close is the bareMinerals 5-In-1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow (The 5-In-1 is my best Cruelty-Free version … )

Thanks for stopping by. Which Paint Pots is your favorite ?

  1. I can’t live without my MAC Paint Pots! I’ve never had one dry out on me and I’ve had them for YEARS. I agree, they’re SO worth the price! But I’m preaching to the choir. 😛 I had Indianwood but I had to return it because it made me look sickly.
You NEED Groundwork. NEED it! ❤

    1. I trust you so much that I will only buy Rubenesque & Groundwork for the moment 😉
It’s sad that most girls just go with Painterly or Soft Ochre …
Free Shipping today , I’ll have a look at the remaining amount available in my low-buy for February 😛

      1. Yay! I look forward to your post on them! 🙂
Stashy is pretty reliable when it comes to recommendations. I think groundwork is a cream/matte kind of finish and Indianwood is a shimmery finish? I’m not really sure. They both look really lovely in swatch photos!
