One of my guilty pleasures are the Sephora Favorites sets that come out once in a while (mainly in spring and for the Christmas season). With my already well garnered stash, I do not need any of them but still, I always end up buying all of them. Recently, Sephora launched the gorgeous Paint It Pink set, that is a beautiful homage for Spring.
With no further ado, let see if it’s a good one?

At Sephora: It’s a Limited Edition set retailed at 40$US (48$CND)
♥ The amazing value: The Beauty Blender + the Urban Decay eyeshadow alone pay for the whole set; the remaining six items are basically free.
♥ No dud even if some could argue that the Deborah Lippmann nail polish is very sheer. Personally, I love that it’s super natural, way more than those opaque white/pink polishes.
♥Everything is wearable for your day-to-day look; you can easily enjoy every item!! (However, I’ll wait to have my summer tan to wear Becca’s Rose Gold, because on my fair skin, I will look like a disco ball or a working girl …)
♥ It doesn’t hurt that the packaging is super girly cute!
♥ Since it’s a Limited Edition, it won’t be available for long.
♥Any makeup junkie may already have all these products in their collection. Nothing exceptional, just plain safe good must-have products. (No wow factor!)
✰ Beauty Blender (Pink)
There is nothing to add on this HG product. There is a lot of sponges on the market and some, like Real Techniques are quite good but for me, the Original BeautyBlender is still the one I prefer.
✰ Becca Shimmering Pressed Skin Perfector in Rose Gold
No one can argue that Becca Skin Perfector formula is great and utterly pigmented. I think that they are not ideal for fair skinned girls, nor daytime appropriate since they are shinny… way too shinny for my liking. However, during summertime, I put a tiny bit over a matte bronzer to add a beautiful glow. A little goes a very, very long way. Rose Gold may just be the color I prefer from the Becca line.
✰ Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
A great overall mascara that found a way to my collection ever since it debuted.
✰ Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in Baby Love
If you like a sheer white base that looks very natural, you will be in love with it. Deborah Lippman nail polishes are among my favorites; they are durable, easy to apply & easy to remove.
✰ Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in French Kiss
I wasn’t sure about this one. Looking at the pictures, it seemed like a very dark bubble pink shade. The reality is more of a bright but still subtle pink that feels crazy good on the lips. I usually don’t love matte lipsticks because they tend to suck the life out of your lips… However I find that this new one by Laura Mercier keeps my lips hydrated while achieving a semi-matte finish. I consider this lipstick very long-lasting; by the time it does come off, it leaves a tint which I appreciate. A+++ because it doesn’t transfer on my coffee mug or BeardMan’s lips (or beard)!
✰ Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss in 202
You either love or hate these. If like myself you love Buxom lip glosses, you will love these; same stickiness & shininess. What I love most about this gloss is that it’s lightweight, and it has a nice full color without smearing. I recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful, even color!
✰ Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Blissful
I have done so many reviews about these that you know Tarte are amongst my favorite blushes along with Mac, Nars & Stila. This one seems less pigmented, which in this case is a good thing since it gives just a nice soft hue. You hardly can apply too much of it. Very natural, pinky/peachy shade.
✰ Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Scratch
I guess that if you have to own one single eyeshadow color from UD, it might just be Scratch; a beautiful rose gold with shimmer. Stunning!!! Yes, Urban Decay shadows are powdery, we all know it, but I just tap my brush and voilà … (barely no fallout!)!! I’m telling you right now, I will wear this beauty on my eyelids all summer long. A+++ for being so long wearing and truly beautiful.
Such a really fun set that I will enjoy so much in the coming months. If you are new to makeup or don’t have a huge stash, this one is for you. The Tarte blush and Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector may be deluxe sized format but I can assure you that you won’t see the end of these anytime soon. Very good value for what you get! Ok no “out of this world, blow your mind” kind of products, but all in all, perfect for all ages, and every skin colors … 100% flattering! I love it mostly because except for the Beauty Blender, I didn’t own any of these particular shades.
Thanks for stopping by my lovelies!!!
