Happy Easter my friends!!!
Did you know that catching up on all my reading, gathering new info & creating new posts after more than 2 weeks off is quite a task. I am seriously lacking time to do all the things I want to do …
After nearly two weeks in bed with the flu, I had some catching up to do for my Project Focus 10, so I did week 8 (Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush) & 9 (Lancôme Le Lipstique) altogether. Don’t forget to have a look at my BBF (Best Blogger Friends) for their week 9.

How can I resist a Tag about eyeshadow palettes. Really, I can’t …
♥ Things I’ve been loving this week ♥
♥ My Favorite YouTube Videos Of The Week ♥
Since I buy a lot of new beauty products just after launch (with my own $$$), I’m guilty of either creating all the hype propagated on the web or succumbing to all the marketing techniques that make us salivate and acquire a new product. Jacquelyn Lovene from FortWorthFamous made a fabulous, well spoken video about why she will not be buying the new Too Faced “Sweet Peach” palette. I will not buy it either!
♥ Most Exciting New Product of the Week ♥
Laura Mercier Extreme Neutrals
Laura Mercier Extreme Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette will be available soon… Usually, LM shadows are among the best in the industry and they deserve way more hype! Such a beauty isn’t it?
♥ Life Update ♥
Like I said in my intro, so many things to do and so little time… Trying to follow new trends and just reconnect with the makeup world after my illness has made me think about my goals and what I want to achieve. Let me be clear: I love makeup & all beauty related topics but lately, I’ve been wandering if I still love it as much. The reality is that Beauty Blogging is all about buying way more stuff than I need and increasing a stash already well garnered just to write a post and inform our avid readers. Below is what I’m giving to my niece this week: all those products are unused. Money in the garbage! After years of experimenting with different brands, different products and different tools, I now want to reach out to companies I love, respect and value, and work with them. I will no longer review products I’m not dead crazy about. I will honour the ones I’m testing right now but after, I will be very picky in choosing products to review or even brands to work with. Yes, it is very flattering to receive samples or emails from a PR companies but since I’m not trying to build a professional career out of blogging, I want to have fun living my passion, not adding stress and pressure to my already frantic life. I understand that brands want the most out of their collaborators, but it really starts to get on my nerves when companies are asking for thousand followers, when they need to see your review before publishing and for what, a 5$ shampoo?!? I’m harsh but you all know it’s true!
Lately I’ve been reconnecting with other passions from my previous life: my love for fitness, healthy food and recipes and mostly, the great outdoors! Three years ago, my friends were calling me “The Machine” because of my fitness and my motivation but my father’s health problems & passing, 2 big injuries back to back & insomnia unfortunately made me gain some weight and the worst, it made me sedentary and miserable. Finding this forgotten girl is way more important than any eyeshadow palette will ever be…
Blogging opened up new horizons and it crystallized new passions. Experimenting with photography and softwares to create beautiful images to embellish my posts also generated new motivations. I’m in the process of buying the all new Mac Book Pro & a camera (the Canon 70D or the new 80D), and I would love to have a YouTube channel relating to lifestyle. I think it’s the year of the new me …
I now want to blog about things that motivate and stimulate me before wanting to write about what I think people want to read! Blogging is a window to my different passions and I just want to let you in my little world, not create a parallel universe.
♥ Yummy of the Week ♥
The best “sweet” bread I ever tasted. Available at Costco for a very limited time !!! You can even put it in the freezer… that’s if you don’t eat the whole loaf 🙂
♥ Doggy Stuff of the Week ♥
When it comes to animal welfare, we see disgusting things on the internet. But, we also see some amazing people that have the biggest heart and try to make it better, in this case, for dogs in their area.
♥ Cuteness of the Week ♥
Thanks again Stashy for making me cry my eyes out with this wonderful video and yes “Make Time For What You Love “!
