March Beauty Favorites ❥ 2016

Ingrid's March Favorites

Better late than never 🙂

With April already well on it’s way, I chose to review and share with you my top 5 favorite beauty products that I adored using during March. Not that I want to do some ass-kissing, but they all come from Stashy’s Giveaway that I luckily won in January! Since I never win anything, I was pretty excited, more so because all these 5 products were new to me (Yay!!!!!).

Shiseido Facial Cotton

f1280x1280.jpeg

Praise the Lord, Alleluia!!! 100% the ultimate best of cotton. A must is not a strong enough word when talking about these facial cottons; they are tick, luxurious, fluffy, simply put, it’s heaven for your face 😇. They make removing my eye makeup a breeze & they apply my toner like a dream. Seriously, they literally glide around my eyes without any tugging/pulling like all the other cotton wipes I’ve ever tried. OK, they may be pricier (11$CND for 165 cottons) than the usual ones I buy at Costco, but they are so worth it!

Warning: If you try them, you will be doomed and cursed for the rest of your life and you won’t ever be able to return to your generic ones …

Anna Sui Eyebrow Brush 1

Spoolies are not created equal: cheap ones simply don’t do a great job! Personally, after years of experimenting, I just can’t create beautiful eyebrows without using a great spoolie. If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you know that my do or die brush to apply my brow powders is the Anna Sui Eyebrow Brush 2. Thanks to Stashy, I now own the whole set!!!

I feel like Anna Sui brushes are so underrated. I own a few of them and they are fantastic.

Note: As a reference, to contour, I prefer by a long shot my Anna Sui Face Brush (30$CND) over Nars Kabuki Ita Brush (70$CND).

Bath & Body Works Waikiki Beach Coconut Eau De Toilette

Ingrid's March Favorites

Normally, when it comes to fragrances, I’m very conservative. 90% of the time I try new perfumes, chances are I’ll just  hate it! Once again, I got lucky and received from Stashy an aroma that I L.O.V.E.!! With this kind of description (A bright blend of fresh coconut, saltwater breeze & sun-bleached woods), this concoction fits me like a glove. It will be interesting to see how much there is left at the end of summer!!! Even the bottle is super adorable…

Mac Blush in Buff

I have been searching for the perfect Nude blush for a while now. I’ve discovered great ones along the way but this one tops them all. It fits my skin tone perfectly! Buff is an earthy/brownish toned rosy peach shade. It looks quite blah in the pan but don’t be fooled, it’s a gorgeous shade for your everyday wear. The peach tone adds warmth to my skin and the rose undertones prevent it from looking dull or muddy!! HG Nude Blush … My search is over! Thanks to Stashy for this wonderful discovery…

Mac Pro Longwear Eye Shadow Pro Palette in Lie Low

Ingrid's March Favorites

This favorite is bitter-sweet: I love the formula & the shade so much that I would like to buy another one, but Mac’s website only show colors that are unfortunately sold out (Sweet Satisfaction has been in my cart for so long, but never available). I guess it’s fair to assume that they are a thing of the past…

Lie Low is a “frost golden brown with orange undertones”. However on me, it’s way more satin than frost!! It’s so beautiful on my crease (yes! I said crease). I find this formula a little better than their regular eye shadows (more pigmented) and they last all day. The pan is also huge (0.11oz) compared to their regular ones (0.04oz). How come nobody told me that these were so great ?!?

There is still a few products that I haven’t try from her huge giveaway… There is a Quo Sponge (I will soon do a battle of the sponges), the Anna Sui Rose Cheek Color (100) that I want to use badly (but the rose designs in the compact are so pretty, I just don’t want to mess them up), the C.O Bigelow Vanilla Mint 2X Lip Shine (my # 6 favorite of the month), a perfect, addictive, Yummy & Shinny blend of vanilla and mint! I can’t stop sniffing it & applying it, nearly 10 times per day! Finally there is the Body Shop Foundation Brush… How humongous and generous was this giveaway, I’m still trying to get acquainted with all the products! Thanks again Stashy😘 …

      1. Nooooooo! I’ve missed it 😢
My Facebook page has been unavailable for a week since they don’t accept Curly Ingrid anymore !😠

  1. You can kiss my ass anytime you want! 😉 😆 ❤
I'm beyond happy that you liked the items that you won! 😀
I will ONLY use the Shiseido facial cotton to remove eye makeup going forward – that delicate area needs pampering!
Isn’t the Anna Sui Spoolie the best? I know that people think I’m somewhat neurotic but now you see my point that not all spoolies are created equal!
My fingers were crossed on whether you’d like that Bath & Body Works Waikiki Beach Coconut – thank GOODNESS you love it! I can’t get enough of it myself!
Can you BELIEVE that MAC discontinued Buff blush? I’m still scratching my head over that one! And yes, Lie Low is also unfortunately discontinued – why MAC, WHY? Sorry I didn’t alert you about the Pro Longwear formula… I was secretly hoarding them all!
The rose design on the Anna Sui blush / highlighter remains intact for quite a while – do not fear!
    Enjoy everything! 🙂
