rms “un” cover-up Concealer/Foundation ❥ Review

Rms Beauty "un"cover-up Review

Let’s cut to the chase: RMS Beauty “un”cover-up is the best concealer I’ve ever tried and if you’ve been following this blog for a while now,  you know that I’ve tried a lot of them! But before you rush to your favourite store (or website) to buy this true wonder, hear (read) me out…

Rms Beauty "un"cover-up Review

Size does matter…

Rms Beauty "un"cover-up Review

Before praising this phenomenal product, let’s address the fact that the format is really tiny (0.20oz). For a concealer it’s sufficient but seriously, as a foundation, it’s a little ridiculous unless your idea of foundation is to put a little bit of product around the nose. A full face would take 1/3 of the jar so, price wise, it’s not a great investment!

Note: This product is perfect for sun spots or blemishes.

Ingredients that matters…

*Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, *Cera Alba (Beeswax), *Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol(non-GMO), *Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, and may contain: [+/- Titanium Dioxide CI 77891, Iron Oxides CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499]

*Certified Organic

I never seen a concealer with such an impressive ingredient list; with 3 kinds of oils, no wonder it applies so smoothly on my dry area just under me eyes.

Creasing does definitely matter a lot…

During the past year, I’ve been on a quest to find a concealer that would not aged me nor crease like crazy. Having mature skin with wrinkles, I almost thought that finding a creased-free concealer was like searching for a leprechaun flying on a unicorn. After a ridiculous amount of money spent, I found it. Before I tried this concealer/foundation, I had to live with products settling into my fine lines, but no more… This one blends into my skin like magic.

Coverage does or doesn’t matter …

RMS Beauty "un" cover-up Review

Even though my face shows all sorts of skin flaws (acne scars, sun damaged, redness), this product is definitely coverage enough for me and it can be buildable if needed. Concerning very dark circles underneath the eyes, as I don’t have those (at least, God gave me something…), I can’t really know if this product is getting the job done…

Price does matters…

At 45$CND (Sephora), it’s right up there with those luxury brands. And for me, it’s worth every penny. I believe that I have at least for one year’s worth of product in there. This product is so good that you may want to get it in the next VIB sale.

Application does matter…

I suggest you try this method.

Step 1: If you apply your normal eye cream at night (like you should), no need to use one in the morning. This product is so nourishing that it will serve as your daily eye cream.

Step 2: Apply this RMS concealer.

Step 3: Wet your sponge (I use the Beauty Blender Micro.Mini)!! I mean REALLY wet the little sucker and dip it into your favorite under-eye powder and bake your concealer (I prefer Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder).

Step 4: Let it stay for a few minutes. Do your eyebrows while you wait…

Step 5: Brush the excess powder

Voilà, perfect crease-free concealer all day long

  1. Too bad I didn’t read about this while I was in Japan! I visited the rms counter a couple of times but didn’t find anything that caught my attention so I left empty handed! This sounds wonderful – I’m glad it’s available from Sephora though!
