Project Pan Skincare Edition ❥ Summer 2016

Project Pan Summer 2016 (Skincare)

Since I’ve decided, after extensive declutterings and multiple gifts to my friends and family, to cut my spending on beauty products, I thought it was time to pan some skincare items that are laying around just waiting to be used up! My avid followers know that I love project pans; this spring, with three blogging friends, we did a project focus exclusively oriented on depleting makeup products, and I selected items that I hadn’t reviewed yet or that needed some TLC.

This time, I mean business! I give myself 2 months (June and July) to empty these bottles and give my quick thoughts on them.

Today, I won’t describe all my selected products mainly because for some of them, I wouldn’t know what to write as they are mostly gathering dust on my shelves. So every time I will finish one, I will give my modest “stamp of approval” or my “save your money” on this particular product!!!

For some weird reasons, I am really excited at the prospect of finishing all of these. Am I the only one who giggles a lot at the thought of finishing any beauty item? Maybe it’s because it gives me more space to buy new ones… Unfortunately, the pleasure of emptying a tube, a compact or a pot never happens; I usually throw them out before I finish them …

I took quick pictures to show you the task at hand, or as you will see, my Everest!! About 20 products to finish? I would prefer to run a marathon backwards, while juggling three chainsaws blindfolded… One photo shows product to include in my daytime routine and the other, my nighttime routine...

Since I already finished one product (way to go Ingrid!!), might as well talk about it right now.

Rosebud Perfume Co. Rosebud Salve Balm

Rosebud Salve Balm Review

♥ Inexpensive: at 7.50$ for 0.05 oz, I used it each night and it lasted me well over a year!

♥ Non sticky

♥ Very hydrating – My lips feel really soft in the morning.

♥ The rose scent is not overwhelming

♥ This balm is cruelty-free

♥ Multi-purpose

This beloved multipurpose essential deeply moisturizes and soothes dry lips. Versatile and comforting to skin, it calms and heals irritation, soothes the sting of minor burns, helps heal cuts, tames mangled cuticles, helps fix ashy elbows and knees, and minimizes diaper rash.

♥ Nothing; I love it 🙂

Will I repurchase? A big fat YES! Next I want to try one the fairly new Mocha Rose Lip Balm with Vanilla

  1. Yay! Good luck with your project 🙂 I’m all about the project pans these days and have been thinking about doing the 13 by Halloween Roulette one going around YouTube right now for makeup!

  2. Aren’t you still supposed to be on a no-buy? 😆
I hate the idea of throwing out products before I finish them – but sometimes the products just aren’t that good and not worth my time / effort!
I do love the satisfaction of completely draining a product though! Such a sense of accomplishment. Good job on the lip balm. I’ve never tried any of the Rosebud Salve Balm but it’s been highly recommended – will put it on my list!
Good luck to you – you know I’ll be cheering you every step of the way as you pan these products! ❤ 😀
