Another week, another Sephora Favorites! What can I say, I love these sets: I really appreciate their variety, their value and the ability to try new products before committing to full-size versions. Usually, I prefer makeup sets since they are more thrilling to receive (that’s the makeup addict talking) but these days, I’m pampering my skin like I never did before, so I tend to go for skin care products and items to incorporate to my daily and nighttime regimens. For that Soko to Tokyo set though, as much as I like it, I don’t want to be a party pooper but just don’t go the extra mile to get it…
Note: It seems that I forgot about keeping tabs on my monthly budget recently… 😁

At Sephora : Limited Edition 31$ (25$)
♥ It’s the perfect way to try some great Asian skin care products that are, for most of us, relatively unknown.
♥ Still a great value, but keep in mind that they are Deluxe Samples.
So far (First Impressions, a full review will come soon):
Skin Inc. Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask: I am amazed that all my dry patches are gone with this mask! My skin is glowing. Unbelievable first results …
Tatcha Polished Deep Rice Enzyme Powder: For someone with sensitive and very acne-prone skin, this is a great exfoliator! My skin seems much cleaner!
Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack: Make sure you follow the instructions and massage the super thick foam into your skin. Definitely makes my skin feel cleaner. Nothing out of the ordinary with this one, but I’m still happy to have tried it.
boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel : I find that it removes dead skin around my nose area better than the scrubs I usually use. Personally, I use it strictly on my nose and forehead, as surprisingly, it seems too harsh on my cheeks.
Erborian Ginseng Milk : Definitely makes my face feel and look smoother. My makeup looks much more flawless with this product acting as my moisturizer. At this point, I would really like to try a lot more products from the brand.
♥ Sephora puts a 25$ value on each product which couldn’t be further from the truth! In fact, there is only one product that is really worth more than the estimated value.
As listed above, I chose these products to complete my set:
Skin Inc. Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask : 38$ value
Tatcha Polished Deep Rice Enzyme Powder : 13.58$ value
Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Pack : 12.50$ value
boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel : 14.28$ value
Erborian Ginseng Milk : 7.03$ value
Total value: 85.39$
I don’t think it’s a bad deal to pay 31$ for a total value of 85$, but it’s a little bit misleading!
♥ All Deluxe size products, not one is full-size.
I really like every product, especially the Erborian Ginseng Milk, which is unfortunately the smallest format but thank god, a little goes a long way. To a neophyte like me, it sure is a great introduction to some new Asian brands which are lately taking the beauty market by storm. This set is not a must-have but is totally enjoyable and even if the products are smaller in size, I will surely make the most out of it and find ways to use them all!! As my middle name is Frugal, you can make sure that I won’t lose any itsy-bitsy amount of cream or powder…
Thanks for stopping by my beautiful friends xxx
