bareMinerals Bareskin Concealer ✮ Review

bareMinerals Bareskin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer (Review)

bareMinerals, along with Buxom and Smashbox are companies that deserve way more exposure than what they are receiving. I notice that all my posts about these particular brands are less popular and I can’t explain why (maybe they need to use more social media tools, or they probably just don’t suck up enough to the biggest YouTubers! Just saying…). It’s really unfortunate though because these brands offer the best products and are true hidden gems in the makeup industry.

bareMinerals Bareskin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer (Review)

This review is long overdue … I’ve owned this bareMinerals Bareskin concealer for a while now, and I should have praised its benefits weeks ago.  But, the good thing about using a product for at least six months is that you can really assess the pros and cons and give your honest opinion. So keep on reading to see why this product as has become my favorite concealer!

 pros
✮ Super hydrating (Perfect for my dry under eye area),
✮ Blends beautifully,
✮ Doesn’t look cakey at all (The coverage is light to medium),
✮ NO CREASING (Mature skin’s dream),
✮ Stays all day (After 10 hours, my concealer is still intact),
✮ You get a ton a product since a little goes a long way (Very creamy and lightweight),
✮ Great at covering nasty zits,
✮ The price is fair considering how ultra pigmented it is,
✮ Made in the USA (I don’t buy cosmetics made in China anymore),
✮ Cruelty-Free.
 cons
✮ I don’t think it would cover very dark circles,
✮ The packaging could be way better; too much product comes out of the doe-foot applicator and the result is a messy spout,
bareMinerals Bareskin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer (Review)
✮ It’s much thinner and watery product than the usual concealer (Not a problem for me at all, but worth mentioning),
✮ Just six shades available (Ideally, I would need a shade lighter).
 final thoughts
Except for the fact that the applicator is too soft and absorbs way too much product, this is the perfect concealer! As I get older, I realized that that serum-type concealer works best on my skin. The finish looks so natural and don’t make my under eye looks like I’m 10 years older. Furthermore, its hydrating formula and its blending properties are so unparalleled that, even if it comes with some disadvantages to its resume, I’m totally in love with this formula. With only six colors available though, I would ideally prefer a lighter shade for winter months but fair (the lightest) is great for summer.
 * As a reference, my number 2 favorite concealer is Make Up For Ever Lift Concealer *

  1. Completely agree with you about Bare Minerals, they are so under-rated, I love many of their products! This concealer has been on my list once I finish up the ones I’m currently using because it sounds right up my alley. Glad to hear its’ as good as I’ve heard it was!

  2. Havent really purchased much from Bare Minerals but eveytime I get some samples from them, I ended up liking them. This is very interesting but the fact that it doesnt cover the undereye circle is a little bit disappointing.. 😟

  3. Buxum, Bare Minerals, and Smashbox for sure don’t get a lot of attention and I think it’s just as you say (not a lot of sucking up to big YouTubers). I haven’t tried a lot from these brands though but the stuff I have (to be fair) isn’t usually as good of quality as Tarte, Urban Decay and Too Faced for example so maybe that’s part of it? These brands have more misses than hits!? Either way, this concealer sound so nice! I do agree it would be better if they’d release more shades though. #palegirlproblems

    1. I think that their products are better than ever !!! I think you would LOVE this concealer !
Unfortunately like we both said, they don’t have the same exposure 😦

  4. You had me until you said it may not provide enough coverage for dark circles!
BUT, if I wear the Becca Under eye corrector, it might work? I’ll have to test this at the store. Along with that CC cream you love from BM.
