I’ve been obsessed with the Sephora Collection Pro Contour Kabuki #82 brush for the longest time (longest = two weeks to be exact). As I’m always looking for the best deals, I purchased it, on sale, on Sephora’s website for less than half price ($21CND)! I know the sale section is always tricky; most of the time it’s full of
shitty lesser quality products that don’t sell well, it’s use to sell off some Limited Edition products (these are the sale I ADORE – think of The Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani eyeshadow and blush palette) or like in the case of this Kabuki #82 brush, it suggests some discontinued items.
This brush piqued my curiosity mainly because of its unique shape and in-store, the bristles felt so good and soft; but expending $48CND for a strange contour brush was a total non sense budget wise! This was then and now, I’m a proud owner and I’m in love!!!
What it is:
An all-in-one sculpting and shaping brush that can be used under the eye, hollows of the cheeks, and around the jaw area.
What it does:
Define your best features and achieve an allover makeup look with this Pro Contour brush. Featuring an innovative design for multi-direction blending on the entire face, it allows you to seamlessly shade, contour, highlight, and blend product. Its curved-tip bristles fit into facial grooves and corners of the face for a flawless finish, making application simple with just a few strokes.
🐰What else you need to know:
This product is not tested on animals.
This brush breezes so softly on my skin, I can’t express enough how luxurious it feels.
It’s well-built no doubt about it, and on the plus side, NO shedding to report! For this review purpose, I really tried to pull off a couple of bristles, with no success (You see how thorough of a blogger I really am – Wink-Wink)!!
Cream bronzer/contour obsessed…
You’ve been living under a rock or never read my blog if you didn’t notice how Ga-Ga I am about cream contouring/bronzing products! This brush may be good for other purposes but for me, it’s the ideal tool to perfectly apply creamy goodnesses. And after trying it this morning, it also works really good with highlighters and blushes. Come to think of it, maybe it’s multi-purpose after all!!!
From the website picture, it looks like a big, bulky brush but it’s super tiny. Being on the smaller side is absolutely not a problem as the handle makes it really easy to work with. Not that it should matter but this brush is a cuty pie! ADORABLE
BUT… (there is always a but)
All of that being said, I must point out that if you go and purchase this brush to create an “Instagram” contour with really defined cheekbones, you’ll probably hate it. You’ll probably find it too big and not precise enough (it’s a dense-type brush but it fans out when pressing it). But, if like 99% of us regular girls (and boys) that never went for the Kardhasian look because daah!, we live in the real world, I think you will find this brush is a super deal and worth every penny. It would definitely have a place of choice in your brush collection…
Note: This brush doesn’t appear to be on the US Sephora website anymore, so this one is just for my Canadian Beauty Addicts! Maybe US girls should visit the Canadian site? With the exchange rate, it’s even more of a deal…
I almost want to buy a second one !!!🙊
