Too Faced The Power of Makeup by Nikkie Tutorials
This palette reminded me of Too Faced Holiday palettes so much! I guess that if you are new to makeup, this set will be super interesting but if you are a beauty addict like myself (and some of you, I’m sure), you already have a multitude of “Shadow Insurance”, “Chocolate Soleil” bronzer and black “Better Than Sex” mascara… And then, you have the glitters, which are totally useless to me personally! Also, take note that “Champagne Truffle” (the highlighter shade in this palette) is an eyeshadow that is included in the Original Chocolate Bar palette. As for the “Stretch Liner”, again unusable for me since I don’t do winged liner; with my hooded eyes, I don’t think it’s a perfect match…
Verdict: I wouldn’t use this palette at all (except for the two brownish matte colours “Painkiller” and “Makeup & Chill”) and therefore, it’s a big fat NO for me on this one … Ok, I always want to justify future purchases (see above), but I don’t want to throw hard-earned money down the drain!! What about you?

Urban Decay Ultimate Basics
Right off the bat, this is my kind of palette. This all-matte beauty (except one shade, “Blow”, who is a semi matte) with 12 new colors is a neutral lover paradise and ideal for hooded eyes/mature skin girls. That being said, I probably already have all these shades (or close to them) in my collection. Perhaps not unique enough to justify the $55Us (70$+CAN)!

Our well-loved Stashy (Stashmatters) is a mine of information and in regards to my post Too Many “Makeup Brand x YouTuber” Collabs?, she pointed out that in 2011, M.A.C did a collaboration with 9 Beauty Bloggers to create eyeshadows and lip glosses. I had no recollection of this collab and I was so surprised, more so because the trends have shifted, and in 2016, YouTubers are WAY more powerful than Bloggers (Sad but True)! Go and check the link… By the way, all of these Bloggers are still active!! Go-Bloggers-Go!
Have a beautiful Sunday my beauties!
