Welcome to WEEK 7 of our Project pan 12. Like always, don’t forget to take a look at my collaborators in this Project: Stashy (StashMatters), Jodi (ABrashAttitude) and Chanelle (Chanelle Hayley). This week featured (and now empty) product is the tricky but wonderful bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream, which is an hybrid between a BB, CC and a Tinted Moisturizer... Not a foundation for everyone but since it’s my third tube, I guess it’s only fair to assess that I LOVE IT !
A versatile gel cream that combines skin care benefits and naturally radiant coverage in one.
This versatile cream achieves dewy, sheer-to-medium coverage to give skin a radiant, soft, and smooth-looking appearance. Formulated with mineral electrolytes to help energize skin, it’s also infused with marine botanicals to help replenish dry skin. It contains heart-leaf globe daisy, an antioxidant, which aids in protecting against environmental stressors—improving the appearance of skin while keeping it hydrated.
At Sephora : $37Cnd for 1.18 oz. It comes in 16 shades (Travel size also available).
♥ This product is cruelty-free,
♥ Affordable in today’s high-end market,
♥ Feels very lightweight and natural,
♥ Doesn’t cause any breakouts (acne-prone friendly),
♥ Great shades’ selection (My winter color is Vanilla 02 and in Summer, I wear Buttercream 03),
♥ This product contains a good SPF 30, ideal for summertime,
♥ Blends effortlessly and can be mix with any other foundation for an added coverage if desired,
♥ Gives a dewy finish without ever looking greasy,
♥ Doesn’t oxidize.
♥ Doesn’t mix well with moisturizer. This product is THE moisturizer and it needs to be apply on a bare face after you washed it. Even primers are sometimes tricky with this Tinted Hydrating Gel,
♥ After the 7 hour mark, it slowly starts to break down around my chin and my nose,
♥ Not an easy formula to build up (It’s made to give a light coverage).
I would be crushed if bareMinerals would discontinue this product. I love that it’s so versatile, that it can be mix with all my other foundations to create different finishes or colours, that it doesn’t make me look “cake face” whatsoever and that it gives a luminous finish without ever looking greasy. It’s not a perfect product; you really need some practice to achieve the best results! I still haven’t found the ultimate foundation yet, but for my personal tastes, this one comes close. Even the price is good, what more do you want…
If you like light coverage and a natural finish, you might want to give bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream a try; it could easily become a major component in your stash.
Will I repurchase: YES! I already have a backup but I will still buy a different shade at the next Sephora VIB Sale.
The project is going great, but my neck not so much. Did you know that using a rollerball perfume over and over can become very irritating? This Lavanila Rollerball (week 3) really begins to get on my nerves (literally)… My neck is soar from using this product!!! Speaking of rollerballs, who knew they lasted so dam long? For Pete’s sake, I’m not even halfway done after months of usage. I adore Lavanila in Vanilla-Grapefruit but I definitely need the spray format.
Since I have a few products that are already panned, I’m happy to try new goodies. It’s been a while since I had the chance to try new stuff…
❥ Don’t forget to go have a look at week 5 of Stashy (StashMatters), Jodi (ABrashAttitude) and Chanelle (Chanelle Hayley)
Have a beautiful week my beauties!
