October Favorites (2016) │Makeup & Skincare

Where did October go? I say this each month but truly, time flies so fast, it’s just unbelievable. While I’m writing this, flurries are falling, our remaining coloured leaves are falling and, my morale is falling!! Our breathtaking autumn decor is a thing of the past and I see winter coming, slowly but oh so surely.

I don’t do favorites each month since honestly, I don’t have that many hardcore picks or new products to show, but when I do, I’m super excited to share them!

❀Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat❀

It’s definitely not a new product in the market, but I needed some cheering in our rather dull, grey October and I felt that this pink polish would do miracles on my mood. I tried it and it became my #1 product for my weekly manicure. Since nail polishes usually don’t last a day on my hands, I have been searching for a though, long-lasting, clear formula that could make my nails look polished and brilliant. In addition to its cosmetic properties, this product makes my nails feel stronger and it does last a solid 5 days before I take it off and reapply. A +++

Maison Jacynthe Blush in Juliette

After my first application of this light pink blush, I was hooked. Awesome formula, pigmented enough to look natural and the color is simply perfect. My cheeks look just like I’ve just returned from a brisk walk but better. I haven’t fell for a blush this much in a very long time.

❀bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Rebel❀

I rarely hear a soul talking about bareMinerals lip glosses, and you probably won’t see anything in the future about them since, if my informations is correct, bareMinerals are thinking about discontinuing them. It’s sad because the “non-sticky” formula, the taste and the colors are so perfect for a nice daytime look! I will enjoy Rebel ’til its last drop…

Paula’s Choice Resist Brightening Essence

Paula’s Choice Resist Brightening Essence is one of these rare skincare products that would suit every single person, regardless of age or skin types. It perfectly does what the brand claims: it gives a healthy, radiant glow! The texture of my face is now so smooth, I’m addicted. Highly recommended!

Paula’s Choice Radiance Renewal Mask

How convivial is this overnight mask?!? I use it right after my favorite face oil application (these days it’s Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil). It kind of seals the oil in, and the next morning, I have a plumped skin and my uneven skin tone looks so much better. You can also apply this mask safely around the eyes (How cool!)…

Note: Since it’s a mask type product, I would suggest that you clean your face in the morning as you do each day since we sweat a lot during our sleeping hours and it’s ideal to clean our face prior to our skincare morning regimen anyway.

  1. That Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat – I forgot about wanting it and now you’ve reminded me! Even though I paint my nails almost all the time, I need that for lazy days…

I don’t do monthly favourites either simply because my favourites don’t tend to shift so quickly – I much prefer quarterly favourites (mine is scheduled to post tomorrow! 😉 )
