No brand exclusion. The discount also applies to items on the Sale page.

Also unlimited! Just buy what you need and you’ll get the 20% OFF…

Note: Sadly, you don’t get a 20% discount if you buy gift cards (a 25$ gift card will still cost 25$)!

There are no brand exclusions during this event, but the discount cannot be applied to gift cards

This is what’s in my cart (at the moment) and when I look at this picture, I’m asking myself:”Where is the old Ingrid, for Pete’s sake?”. There is only 3 makeup items! I’m speechless… If my memory serves me right, the last two years, my haul was 90% makeup so what happened? Well, I’m not really attracted to all those holiday sets anymore (this girl got burned with disputable quality in the past) and this past year, I witnessed what good skincare can do for your skin.

However, my credit card (and BeardMan) will probably not agree with my choices… The first one will bleed after buying all these products, the second one will see is soap and hair gel relegated to some drawer or shelf in a room somewhere, thinking of a closet or even the garage looks like an attractive location at this point…

1.Nudestix Nude(art)ist Magnetic Eye Box Set

I already own two of these sticks and I love them. They are so easy to apply and I often wear them alone as a wash of colour on my eyelids. A dream product for all of us, NUDE lovers. Amazing value since each stick is full size!

2.Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen (Ivory)

I read so many great reviews about this tinted moisturizer. Time to see for myself what the fuss is all about!

3.Herbivore Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist

I need a new hydrating toner and I chose this one as a wild guess, since I don’t know anything about this product. Previously, I used Caudalie Moisturizing Toner which I really liked but being the beauty junkie that I am, I want to try something new. Any suggestions for another one I should try instead???

4.Shiseido Facial Cotton

I have to thank my friend Stashy for introducing me to Shiseido Facial Cottons. Trying these means that you will be a customer for life! Whatever brand I use other than Shiseido, I feel I’m scraping my eye area. Please add these to your cart and you will thank me later.

5.L’Occitane Hand Cream (Shea Butter)

This hand cream is for my mother as she swears by it. She must have tried almost every brand on the market but L’Occitane remains the favorite.

Side Note: Am I the only one who never uses hand creams???

6.Sunday Riley Power Couple Duo: Total Transformation Kit

This a repurchase as I LOVE these two products. The hype is real my friends: these two products combined have helped keep my acne situation at bay and has helped with my uneven skin.

Note: SR Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid does kind of smell funny, a little like vinegar  (vinegar = acetic acid). Beardman always makes a weird face when it’s time for my goodnight kiss.

7.Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil

Again another repurchase! I just can’t live without this oil. I’ve tried so many that I can state that this one is amazing, it truly makes my skin look youthful and soft, just like a baby’s butt.

Side Note: This format lasted me 1 year.

8.Drunk Elephant B Hydra™ Intensive Hydration Gel

There is no reason other than my curiosity to try anything from Drunk Elephant (Got caught in the marketing frenzy! Ladies, the power of social medias is real!). I will let you know how I feel about this product soon enough…

9.Sunday Riley Juno Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil

If you haven’t noticed, I’m fixated on face oils these days. I don’t need this one, but again, my curiosity is getting the best of me (Honestly I should wait, … maybe I will)!

10.B.Kamins Sun Defense UV Screen SPF 48

I need a face sunscreen badly (remember guys, it’s a 365 days a year job to use sun protection). I feel like a Guinea pig since there are no reviews on this product, so I will share my thoughts pronto and if it doesn’t work, well I will use Sephora’s great return policy!

11.Sephora Collection PRO Featherweight Crease Brush #38

I need another crease brush and since I love Sephora’s Pro collection, I will get this one as I already own #31.

12.Sephora Collection PRO Featherweight Powder Brush #91

I have been admiring this brush in store for so long that it’s time that I get one! With a 20% Off, it’s the best time to acquire those products that we have longed for… I’ll use this brush to apply my translucent powder. So soft and so big, it’ll do a nice job (I think!). Brush #91, you will be mine very soon!

13.Peter Thomas Roth Skin Saver Kit

I have been buying this Skin Saver Kit continuously for the last four years. The Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel is my Holy Grail to use with my Clarisonic or Luna device. The cucumber mask is also among my all-time favorite mask!

14.Kate Somerville Eradikate

I apply this pink concoction on my pimples at night and they usually are gone in the morning; I can’t live without this product. And Beardman finds me so attractive when I go to bed with my chin full of pink dots… Roar! The power of love!!!

15.bareMinerals COMPLEXION RESCUE™ Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream

So in love with this product (even more in awe after mixing 2 drops of Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil). This new potion resulted in the most flawless finishing touch ever! You can read my full review HERE.

16.Philosophy Purity + Anti-Wrinkle Miracle Worker Duo

This is also for my mom, who like myself, swears by this cleanser. This is the perfect product if you double cleanse as it’s gentle enough and not drying. Holy Grail!

Smile and Enjoy Life!

Sephora Favorites Trending: Beauty’s Most Coveted ✰ Review

Sephora Favorites Trending Beauty Most Coveted Review & Swatches

This new Sephora favorites Trending: Beauty’s Most Coveted is 2016 big set for the Holidays. This kit is based on last year’s SF Superstars, rebranded under a new name, just to confuse us a little bit…  To be honest, I wasn’t very excited about it but, as usual, the little devilish guy sitting on my shoulder played with my mind again, and unfortunately, he seems to REALLY know what to say so, I ordered it … (I’m addicted, I know!!!).

Spoiler: Even if this set is not my cup of tea, it doesn’t mean that it’s not a great buy; in fact I’m sure it’s a great value for money… Let’s do the review, shall we…

Sephora Favorites Trending: Beauty's Most Coveted Review & Swatches Holiday 2016

Sephora: Exclusive and Limited Edition valued at $219US for just $75Us ($263Cnd value for a mere $90Cnd)

FOREO: LUNA Play (Fushia)

I’ve been using my Clarisonic religiously for the last 5 years now and I love it, but trying this FOREO Luna Play made me wonder: if my Clarisonic died on me tomorrow, which of the two would I buy? For sanitary reasons, I think that the best choice is to go with FOREO. But, since the Luna Play model is just good for 50-100 uses and not rechargeable, it’s mostly a teaser to make us try this little invention. This marketing strategy worked on me since I would switch to their brand but I would prefer their normal and new Luna 2,  which comes with 4 different brushes and is rechargeable with a 2-year limited warranty.

After nearly a week of usage, I can’t say enough about how clean my face feels and how easy (and fun) it is to use it. The cleaning process couldn’t be more amusing; it’s like somebody tickling your face for a few minutes…

Note: Never use any oil-based products or anything with exfoliating beads, because it will ruin the device!

Sephora Favorites Trending: Beauty's Most Coveted Review & Swatches Holiday 2016

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder + Puff

Hands down, my favorite loose setting powder. What’s not to love: Super finely-milled which allows a flawless application, sets my foundation perfectly to the point that I don’t need to do any touch-ups during the day. Worth every penny since all you need is a little bit.

Note: My last full size container lasted two years!

The Puff…

I laughed out loud when I saw the Puff! Come on Sephora, “A puff!”? But, I’m not laughing anymore: this fluffy velour thing is actually super effective! if I have to bloat during the day, here comes the puff.

Note: This puff is machine-wash friendly !

NARS Cosmetics Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard

Unfortunately, the shade Custard is way to dark for my under-eye. On top, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer creases badly on me and makes the area look very cakey. I’m leaning against the wind on this one since a lot of people swears by this concealer!

Note: It’s always hard to satisfy everyone in these kinds of sets, the fair-skinned girls to darker ones (or boys).

Tarte Marine Boosting 4-in-1 Mist

I’ve been really intrigued by this mist since its debut last spring. First thing first, this mist smells AMAZING; the orange aroma alone would keep me applying and reapplying all day long. Secondly, I don’t know about prolonging my makeup but it surely gives my face a great hydration boost.

My favourite ways to apply it is to use it just before my foundation as my primer and during the day, to add moisture to my cold-weather dryer skin. I will be buying the full size version!

Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone

Being a fair skin gal, why on earth do I own Opal, Rose Gold and Topaz and not Moonstone or Pearl? It’s totally absurd. Moonstone is unquestionably my favorite in all Becca’s collection It looks very natural and elegant on me, not at all too flashy or flamboyant. Totally smitten!

Beauty Blender Nude

I don’t have to praise how awesome that beauty sponge is… Some dupes may come close but nothing beats the Original Beauty Blender. This little tool makes my BB Creams and Foundations look flawless. Holy Grail status right there!

Glamglow Supermud

I have a love/hate relationship with this mask since my full-sized format dried on me in less than 2 months. I wouldn’t buy it again that’s for sure but I can’t say it’s a bad mask. I do think it does a great job at cleaning pores and diminishing pimples.

Note: With this deluxe size, you barely have enough for 1 use!

Benefit Cosmetics Ka-Brow! (Shade 3)

The first time I used this Cream-Gel, I was blown away. This product has it all and is ideal for makeup addicts-to-be (very beginner-friendly): it blends beautifully, lasts all day, is not too harsh while looking very natural.

Shade 3 is too dark for me since I’m normally Shade 1 but I can manage! However, this deluxe sample format is totally hideous: it’s so hard to retrieve the products and not damage your brow brushes in the process, it’s ridiculous…  Sorry Benefit, but it’s almost unusable!

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in 714 (Mega Matte : Bright Red)

If you have been an avid Curly follower, you surely know how I feel about matte lipsticks and red lipsticks! Since this Urban Decay #714 is both, I will never wear this in public that is, maybe for Halloween or Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Party.

For review purposes only, I wore it two days in a row (stayed at home) and if red is your thing, the shade is a beautiful and very bright red and, even if it’s a matte formula, it surprisingly didn’t feel that drying! The trick is probably to have already super moisturized and exfoliated lips to begin with… All in all, a good formula!

Cover FX Enhance Click in Bubbly (Soft rosy peach shimmer)

Stunning shade but the application is less than stellar! I have to apply it on my cheekbones and then buff it with my contour brush. These days, I prefer creamy products and this one is NOT! There is just no oomph factor! Again, gorgeous color but it’s hard to work with it and almost feels drying on my skin. Not a dud by all means, but surely not a winner either … and so small!

Note: This is a full size product but it is so tiny (cute but tiny).

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper (Satin Black)

I have severe hooded eyes so, me and winged liner are not a match made in heaven!! I however know that this product is a cult-favorite and so many girls only swear by it. I can’t vouch for it but reviews are saying that you can achieve the perfect winged with this liner and that it stays put all day long.

The Estée Edit The Edgiest Kohl Shadowstick (01 Black Viper)

In an ideal world, this shadowstick wouldn’t be pitch black but it is what it is. Once applied, I’m telling you, it doesn’t budge; it also makes a wonderful shadow primer if you like smokey eyes! As for the waterline, it irritates my eyes a lot and the staying power is very short. A good shadowstick without being great, average all across!

Sephora Favorites Trending: Beauty's Most Coveted Review & Swatches Holiday 2016

It’s definitely HOT value-wise but take a good look at each product to see which one you will use and which one you will pass along or will collect dust. It’s still a lot of money … For me, the superstar products in that kit are the Beauty Blender, Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Setting Powder + Puff, Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector, Tarte’s Marine Boosting 4-in-1 Mist and Foreo’s Luna Play (that will only last for three months maximum); the rest is just so-so! Is this set worth the investment? Well, that’s for you to decide, for me it’s just an average buy… No WOW factor!

Will you buy this set ?

Sephora Favorites Glow For It ✰ Review & Swatches

Sephora Favorites Glow For It (Review)

To everyone listening, let me tell it another times if you haven’t heard: “Sephora Favorites sets are a fantastic purchases”. Some of you may snob them because you already own most of the items included (guilty as charged!) or maybe you just don’t like smaller size products but you know what, I personally adore deluxe-size samples; they are travel friendly, are just the right amount to test or get a nice feel for the product, and they take less space in my stash… Nobody should underestimate the value of deluxe samples, period!

Sephora Favorites Glow For It is part of the newest collection that launched just in time for the coming Holiday Season. As soon as it hit the market, I bought it! It made sense since the Lancôme Highlighter alone retails for $36Cnd, the price listed for this entire set! A real no brainer, right? And now a week later, after playing with every product, here is my review …

Benefit Cosmetics Watt’s Up (Deluxe sample) – Made In Italy

Sephora Favorites Glow for It Holiday 2016 (Review)

I’ve not recently  take inventory, but since this product is often included in many sets, let’s say I have some spares! Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a beautiful cream to powder very soft and natural highlighter but I just never use it. My fault, don’t blame the product! Seriously, it gives a beautiful natural complexion and it’s a great product to have around…

Would I buy the full size? Why would I since Sephora keeps on giving Deluxe Sample? To answer the question, NO I wouldn’t!

Lancôme Glow Subtil Silky Creme Highlighter in 06 Glowing Lights (Full Size) – Made In USA

Sephora Favorites Glow for It Holiday 2016 (Review)

I mainly bought this Glow for it set for this product which funny enough, is not normally available for Canadians but is on Sephora’s US website. My first impression was not a good one: at $36Cnd, the packaging feels super cheap (Cheap plastique).

Texture-wise, it mimics Color Pop “moussy” highlights! Lancôme maybe smoother to apply largely because of all the Dimethicone listed as the 1st ingredient; the product glides so well, and me preferred method of application is by using a brush. After playing with it for a few days, I unfortunately have to use a good setting powder on top, otherwise, after 4 hours, it’s gone (Bummer!)

The shade 06 is not ideal for light/fair skin girls, as it’s too dark!  I’ve somehow managed to use it under my blush and it’s working quite beautifully since the amount of shimmer is not over the top!

Note: You can use it as eyeshadow and it’s stunning with a good eye primer.

Would I purchase other shade? Nope, nothing special and I’m not sure if this product won’t dry up on me even if I close it very tight. And again, I hate the el cheapo packaging!

Cover Fx Custom Infusion Drops in Radiance (Deluxe sample) – Made In USA

Sephora Favorites Glow for It Holiday 2016 (Review)

I love these drops! First, I’m the biggest fan of Lemongrass scent so I was already smitten before trying it. After using it alone and mixed with my foundations, it actually did add radiance and moisturized too my already dryer fall/winter skin. It really gives an impeccable finish to my skin .

Would I buy the full size? YES, I’m sold on these drops and I want to try other ones.

Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder in Incadescent Light (Deluxe Sample) -Made In Italy

Sephora Favorites Glow for It Holiday 2016 (Review)

Sephora Favorites Glow for It Holiday 2016 (Review)
Size Reference!

I normally use this strobing powder after I am done with my makeup routine and let me tell you that my face is flawless, glowing and definitely healthy-looking. The blurring effect is perfect, mature skin friendly or ideal for girls (or boys) who want just a subtle glow highlighter instead of the Disco Ball, Silver Surfer impression…

Would I buy the full-size? Yes, I totally would! It’s the perfect finishing touch, it’s so gorgeous.

Milk Makeup Sunshine Oil (Deluxe Sample) – Made In USA

Sephora Favorites Glow for It Holiday 2016 (Review)

Since this was my first encounter with Milk Makeup (a cruelty-free brand), I had no expectation. After a week, I have to praise its addictive lemon scent and this oil is great to use as spot treatment on dry patches. Plus, I really enjoy the rollerball applicator.

Would I buy the full size? Probably NOT since I do own better oils (they don’t smell as yummy though), but even if I would, Milk Makeup is not available in Canada. The retail Us price is a steep $38 so Canadians would have to probably pay more than $45 to get it…

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone (Travel Size) – Made In Germany

Sephora Favorites Glow for It Holiday 2016 (Review)

First of all, a big round of applause to Sephora for choosing any color other than the usual Opal (that we pretty all have…)! I was so happy to finally get my hands on Moonstone, the only one I hadn’t try so far and totally the one I prefer. This shade is perfect for pale girls, and it really gives a glow within.

My only complaint is that my tube is not even half full! Thank God, it doesn’t need much to create a beautiful effect.

Would I buy the full size? NO, the travel size is plenty enough for a lifetime of fun.

Sephora Favorites Glow for It Holiday 2016 (Review)

Let’s put it this way, would I tell my best friend to rush and buy this set? Absolutely Not. Although all the products included are awesome, it’s a great value for money and you get to try six new or already loved items, I’m just not super excited about the Lancôme Glow Subtil Silky Creme Highlighter, the REASON why I bought this set. I must admitted though that discovering the Cover Fx drops is a nice surprise and it heartens my choice. But all in all, I don’t know if I feel it was a good buy or not? In summary, if you don’t already own a ton of highlighters, this set could be amazing and very enjoyable!

Pssst! The box is super small and adorable, not that it matters but just saying! 😉

Will you buy this set and glow to the gods?
