UD X Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette ❥ Hot Deal!

UD X Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette 2016

I know I have a few flaws (just ask BeardMan), but there are some weaknesses that are well-known by my avid readers: Hot Deals and Palettes!! So, what do you think happened when Sephora posted an UD palette for 35$CND? At 70$CND, it was a total nonsense to get it because I probably own most of these colors or their close relatives, but with such an irresistible deal, it was:”Come to mama you lucky palette, come play with your friends!!! At this price, it’s almost what we now pay for a totally average drugstore’s palette. To tell you the truth, I was very intrigued with this collaboration between Urban Decay and miss Stefani, and  seriously, what’s not to love about this Limited Edition palette containing all the colors I love…

After owning this everyday, humble eyeshadow palette for about a week and totally enjoying it, here is why you should run to get this one….

UD X Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette 2016

♥ 15 UD shadows for 25$US (35$CND) is a heist. On average now, each palette are 60$ or more! It’s start to be ridiculously pricey.

♥ Daytime to nighttime appropriate.

♥ Boring neutrals? No f***g way! I understand it’s not as sexy as those normal, regular UD palettes with all those crazy colors but should I remind you that these palettes (I’m talking to you Vice 4) are mostly gathering dust on my innumerable shelves.

♥ Not overly pigmented, these shadows make me achieve the most beautiful natural eye looks!

♥ The packaging is absolutely stunning. So chic, it’s a piece of artwork…

♥ The 3 most stunning colors that are Harajuku, Danger and 1987 are surprisingly easy to wear on my bottom lash line.

♥ Great for travelling: with this palette, you have every shade you might want for all possible situations, from the “no makeup makeup” to a sexy, smokey eye look!

♥ No creasing, very little fallouts and super blendable.

Made in the USA and cruelty-free.

A few added notes …

♥  Only 1 dud to report: Pop is crap! The formula is gritty and I need to wet it with MAC “Fix +” and use my Too Faced Glitter Glue if I don’t want it all over my cheeks!!! It’s sad because the shade is nice.

Ud X Gwen eyeshadow 2

♥ These shadows perform way better with an eye primer.

Bottom Line…

I don’t really care for Gwen Stefani and normally, I always tend to shy away from these makeup collabs which are most of the time on the cheaper side (formula-wise and made in China wise) but this one is very solid! I don’t see how anyone could regret this beauty if you generally gravitate towards these types of colors.

Thanks for stopping by my beautiful friends xxx

Monthly Spending & Wish List ❥❄️ February 2016

February 2016 Monthly Spending & Wish-List

Most of you already know that I’ve decided to start the year with a serious low-buy on all things related to beauty. That means less makeup, skincare, body care & tools will enter my makeup treasure chest.(The post on my low-buy) So, since I won’t be buying as much stuff on my little 100$/month budget, I decided to keep you posted on my monthly spending & on my oh! so evolving, realistic wish list.

January Spending = 37$ (Yay! 63$ in the bank)

If January was a breeze on this low-buy, February was another ball game. Even though I was able to respect my frugal budget, all month long I was bombarded by new spring collections, launches, ads and YouTubers promoting this and that… and let’s just say that restraining myself was really hard. I don’t know how many times I said damn Low-buy or f%?& this. Still, I was angry but good. Thank god for Valentine’s day and the Mac Contour & Sculpt Yourself Palette

February Spending $$$

February Spending $$$

All great reviews coming soon. I can already tell you that I love all these wonderful products ...

February Spending = 72$ !! My God, I’m a human squirrel 🌰🌰. Even with all those winter clearance sales and all these launches, I’ve managed to save 91$ from my initial budget (63$ from January + 28$ from February)!!  👏🏻 Happy dance …

Wish List

February 2016 Monthly Spending & Wish-List

Well, I guess I changed a few things from my January Wish-ListWinter has left a few scars and I need to find some solutions: my lips have dried up like sandpaper and my nails are just horrible …

♥ The new Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 have raised passions and received rave reviews from the industry critics and, a great bonus, it’s oil-free (yay!). Another foundation to buy… What’s up with me and this foundation addiction anyway?

♥ The Surratt Relevé Lash Curler is supposed to be “lash” changing (Already in the bag for the April Sephora VIB sale)…

Viseart Eyeshadow & Eyebrow palette. For me, this is a perfect palette with one minor detail and I still can not get my head around that: why on earth would Viseart put cream products beside powder ones – this is ridiculous!!!

Bite Beauty  Maple Agave Lip Mask. Like I said in my intro, temperatures are so changing this winter that my lips are cracking so badly; they even bleed. I own tons of lip treatments but nothing seems to work so, time to try something else.

Formula X The Fix – Nail treatment. I want to try this one because I need a strengthening formula with some shining properties and a little rosy hue that I’ll be able to use alone while still looking polished.

Guerlain Métériotes Illuminating Powder Pearls (Clair 02). Years ago, I had these Métériotes and I don’t remember those being extraordinaire. Recently, I met an old acquaintance and she was glowing! I asked what new product she was using and she told me she bought these Pearls. Time to revisit this product and see for myself if it evolved during all those years…

bareMinerals Bareskin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer (Fair). Time to try this concealer since it’s been on my wish-list for ever. I’m just waiting for a deluxe-sample I really want since I’m on a low-budget.

bareMinerals 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow (Blushing Pink or Elegant Taupe). I love this product as much as my Mac Paint Pots, that says a lot! Probably one of the most underrated makeup product on the market.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color (Amethyst). It’s no secret that during summer I prefer cream products. Caviar Sticks have such a great formula, it’s easy to swipe all over your lid for that express summer look.

Thanks for stopping by my beauties!

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadows 2 | My Two Cents

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Shadows 2

I admit, I should have talked about this gorgeous eyeshadow palette before! When it went on sale on the Sephora website 34$US (39$CND), I thought it would sell out so fast that I didn’t bother to review it but, to my surprise, it’s still on the sale section !!! What are you waiting for??? Nine shadows of, quite possibly, my favorite formula. At that price … it’s a steal!!! No, I’m not sponsored and yes, I paid full price for mine but have you seen the price of regular palettes lately (50$ and up)? Did you know that this palette contains almost as much product as the KVD Shade+Light eye contour palette (0.56oz versus 0.60oz for the KVD)!?!

To get a sense of what I’m talking about, read my thoughts/review on the MUFE holiday 15 shadows Artist palette, it will give a good idea of how amazing these are (link). You are probably thinking that these colors are pretty flashy but coming from the Neutral shade Queen, this palette must be quite amazing for me to promote such vibrant tints. To my surprise I use this wonder regularly as a pop of colour or in my lower lashes (Hummmmm! Read here the trends for spring 2016).

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Shadows 2

You won’t find any mattes in there but to my knowledge these shadows translate as satin without extreme shimmer, and no glitter whatsoever on the eyelids when you blend them… The richness and the pigmentation are out of this world; a little goes a very long way!

Personally, I prefer Volume 2 than the newer Volume 3, which has too many duplicate colors! But, believe me, if it ever goes on sale, I would buy it in a heart beat. I’m still a palette maniac!!

Eyeshadow formula preferences are unique to each individual, but if you have never tried Make Up For Ever Artist shadows, you should indulge yourself in 2016!!!

This was just my humble and very passionate 2 cents on this stunning palette! I’m still restraining myself because I would buy a backup! 🙊

Am I a good saleswoman !?!
