Kariliss Hair Products | Cruelty-Free

Kariliss Hair Products | Cruelty-Free

Recently, I had the chance to try Kariliss Shampoo & Conditioner. I fell so in love with the way they treated my hair that I ask if I could review ALL its product line. Thankfully, they sent them right away.

♥♥♥ This is not a first impression post; I have tried and tested these AMAZING products for a while now. I can only applaud this brand for making these products for women with dry, curly (frizzy) & mostly damaged/over-processed hair.

Kariliss

Proudly Made in Quebec (Canada) – Cruelty-Free

The Kariliss line, created by the beautiful Amina Gerba, “consists of six essential products to help restore vitality, flexibility and beauty to your hair, while moisturizing the scalp. These products with floral and fruity fragrance, and also vanilla, coconut and jasmine fragrance, are essential and complementary to revive the hair thoroughly”. (The scent is  very ADDICTIVE!)

“A super moisturizing line entirely composed of natural active ingredients. Kariliss products do not contain  parabens or petroleum jelly, silicone or other chemical element clogging the pores of the scalp, which would have the effect of slowing hair growth”.

Main Ingredients

Shea Butter – Argan Oil – Baobab Oil – Black Cumin Oil

Moisturizing Shampoo

15.99$CND (350ml)

This shampoo does every thing I need it to do. It lathers gently (which is something I like) so my hair and scalp feels clean without leaving a greasy feeling or frizzy mess. It’s so soft, it’s great for your daily use. A little goes a long way.

Nourishing Conditioner

15.99$CND (350ml)

It untangles my hair very easily and mostly, IT SMELLS RIDICULOUSLY YUMMY (Banana candy yummy).  I’m already into my second bottle.

Both the shampoo & conditioner have made my crazy hair feel soft, moisturized and lightweight. Additionally, they don’t make my scalp itchy like so many other products do. This duo cleans so well that I can add one more day to my usual “2 days before washing my hair again” regimen. Alleluia !

Leave-In Conditioner

12.99$CND (180ml)

I won’t ever be without this product. On the days that I air-dry my hair, it makes a huge difference on my hair appearance: no frizz, very soft and silky. It just doesn’t feel like I have any product in my hair. Contrary to other products, it leaves no stickiness after application. LOVE IT!

Fortifying Hair Mask

23.99$CND (240ml)

One of the best hair mask I’ve used so far, especially for that price. Usually, my hair feels DRY, like really dry and frizzy; this stuff is very moisturizing yet, it doesn’t weigh my hair down at all. I really can tell a difference in my curl definition too. Cannot say enough good things about it. You need this product to keep your hair healthy.

Hair Stimulating Serum

19.99$CND (60ml)

You won’t get a full review of this Serum since I want to give it a good two months of regular use before I do my final review.

First impressions: The smell is a little strong for my taste (very woodsy)! It doesn’t bother me since I’ve been using it during my off days but it clashes from their other products. It’s also more “oily” than a serum type formula. It will be interesting to see if I get results with just 2 -3 uses per week.

I was very anxious to try this product. I’ve been dealing with major hormonal problems for the last year or so, and one of the side-effect has been my hair falling out at a panicking rate. I’m praying to see great results.

Hair Pomade

5.99$CND (15ml)

I don’t know how I could manage before I found this product. I have a horrible cowlick in my hairline, which makes it difficult to wear my hair back at all. Now, I just put some of this pomade on my hair to smooth it back, apply some hairspray, and voila, it holds all day! I’m thrilled to no longer have to wear tons of pins to hold everything in place (I think that I would trigger the metal detector in an airport). I also use this pomade on the ends of my hair when I wear it down to give some definition to the layers. Perfect amount of hold and shine.

Kariliss Hair Products | Cruelty-Free

I’ve enjoyed every product so far. I may have just found my Holy Grail affordable hair products. The formula and the smell make them so enjoyable and frankly, my hair looks healthier and so much better. One of my best discoveries of the year!

Kariliss products are available on their Website, Costco, Walmart.ca  & lots of other retailers (Quebec, Ontario, USA, Africa & Europe)

Fresh Avocado Hair Mask Solution Box | NaturALL Club

Fresh Avocado Hair Mask Solution Box | NaturALL Club (Curly Spring Blossom)

Fresh Avocado Hair Mask Solution Box | NaturALL Club (Curly Spring Blossom)

Thanks to hormonal problems, I’ve been battling for the past year with some hair lost and a change in hair texture, as if I needed that! So, on top of my usual over-processed (blonde hair will you do this to you), dry & frizzy mop, I’m now an old bag with hormonal problems and going bald. Hence, I happily jumped at the chance to try this avocado, natural deep conditioner from NaturALL Club.

The brand offers both the Fresh Avocado Hair Mask Solution in a convenient easy-to-use kit or the individual Fresh Avocado Hair Masks. I graciously received the kit (in a superb box for that matter) and I couldn’t try it fast enough.

What’s in the Box…

Fresh Avocado Hair Mask Solution Box | NaturALL Club (Curly Spring Blossom)

☀️  Avocado Hair Mask (Ingredients: Avocados, Water, Shea Butter, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Glycerin, Coconut Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Vitamin E, Guar Gum, Citric Acid)

☀️  Leave-In Serum (Ingredients: SheaButter, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E)

☀️ Hair Tie & Hair Cap

The Steps…

Fresh Avocado Hair Mask Solution Box | NaturALL Club (Curly Spring Blossom)

  1. Use the spray bottle to dampen hair with water,
  2. Apply the Avocado Deep Conditioner throughout your hair (focusing on the ends),
  3. Place the plastic cap over hair (Secure longer hair under the airtight cap),
  4. Leave for 20-40 minutes,
  5. Rinse and wash your hair with your favorite shampoo and conditioner,
  6. Once a week, apply a dime-sized amount of the hair serum throughout hair after shower.

Important: You can freeze the mask until you use it and once it’s opened, you need to use it within a week.

My Thoughts & Results…

☀️ The mask is very smooth and easy to apply,

☀️ Scent wise, it’s a natural product scent (mostly a tea oil aroma) but nothing offensive at all,

☀️ I felt a fun little tangling on my scalp during the waiting period,

☀️ After 40 minutes, it was pretty easy to rinse off.

All in all, I got 2 full uses with this one pouch (and I did apply a generous amount each time). Although I didn’t notice a big change in my curly hair, I did however feel that they looked healthier. Like any product, I think that I would get optimal results if I used this for a longer period.

I’m ecstatic that this product is completely NATURAL. I’m way more conscientious about the ingredients I now put on my face, hair and body and more aware of dangerous components used in our daily beauty regimen.

Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum│Project Pan 12

Project Pan 12 Fall 2016

Already WEEK 8 of our Project Pan 12 and as usual, don’t forget to take a look at my friends in this Project: Stashy (StashMatters), Jodi (ABrashAttitude) and Chanelle (Chanelle Hayley). This week featured product is Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum. When you think about Merida from the Disney movie Brave, Hagrid in Harry Potter’s saga or even Beetlejuice, the first thing that comes to mind is their huge hairdos, but after Hagrid, there’s Ingrid… My hair are so curly, there is frankly nothing to do with my crazy mop head.  That’s why, Josie Maran’s product is somewhat never utilized (my bad..)!

The claims:

An anti-frizz treatment that creates exceptional shine.

What it does:
It’s the shine of the times! Argan Oil Hair Serum delivers instant shine and long-lasting rejuvenation. Argan Oil naturally penetrates the hair to help moisturize each layer of the hair strand for long-term hair repair so your hair actually looks and feels healthier, silkier, and extraordinarily shiny. Subtly scented with geranium and bergamot fruit oils, the ultralight, never-greasy, alcohol-free formula helps to seal split ends and deliver intense moisture to each layer of the hair strand. All hair types will instantly look and feel healthier, silkier, and shinier.

Availability:

At Sephora: $15Cnd (0.5oz), $39Cnd (20z) or $62.50Cnd (4oz)

Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum

Pros:

♥ Makes my hair soft,

♥ Doesn’t look greasy since it penetrates surprisingly quick (or maybe it’s because I have very dry hair),

♥ Josie Maran’s products are cruelty-free,

♥ My hair looks healthier.

Cons:

♥ Doesn’t produce the shininess that is claimed by the brand,

♥ Pricey (but to be fare you just need a little bit),

♥ Does nothing for my curly, frizzy  hairstyle!! (possibly not the product but again my crazy hair, that is untameable).

In Summary:

Truly, there is probably nothing wrong with this product but unfortunately, my untameable hairdo is this product’s Waterloo (from the expression: meet your Waterloo meaning to encounter your ultimate obstacle, in reference to Napoleon’s defeat at Waterlon in 1815)!!  Who knew that this blog would bring you such incredible historical knowledge!?! Maybe another reason for my mixed emotions on this product is the Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil, that I prefer. What can I say, I love hair products that smell nice and the Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum doesn’t smell that good.

Will I repurchase: No! It’s just an OK product for me; I don’t hate it but I don’t love it either.

Project Recap…

This week, I hit a wall in my Project…  All my product were left untouched since I have spent 90% of my time in bed, afflicted with the flu! It was so unbearable that even BeardMan left for the countryside (seriously, I told him to leave since I was coughing all night, and I wanted him to get some rest for his work). So, let’s say that my skin had a week off since I barely used any makeup (just a minimal makeup to be presentable at work). I need a flu shot ASAP this year – it’s my 3rd or 4th major flu in 2016!!!

Don’t forget to go have a look at week 5 of Stashy (StashMatters), Jodi (ABrashAttitude) and Chanelle (Chanelle Hayley)
